Non-Surgical Options
Physical Therapy
This is often a very important component of any surgical or non-surgical treatment plan to maximize the outcome. We have convenient therapy in our clinics!
PRP (platelet rich plasma) Injections
After drawing some of your own blood, this injection has anti-inflammatory properties to reduce pain and swelling.
Steroid INjections
These safe anti-inflammatory injections can decrease pain and prolong or hopefully avoid surgical intervention. We now have extended-release steroid injection options!
Bracing
We have an in-house technician who can provide off the shelf braces, and, when necessary, take measurements for custom-made braces.
Surgical Options
Meniscal Repair or Cleanup
Depending on the type of tear and overall condition of the knee, this arthroscopic surgery can prolong the health of the knee. Although not all tears need surgery, those that do should be managed appropriately.
Bone Realignment
If the leg has an abnormal bow and cartilage damage, cutting and realigning the knee can be a very powerful surgery.
Revision Total Knee Replacement
If a knee replacement continues to cause pain or becomes infected, then it may need to be revised. These very complex procedures should be carried out by trained and experienced professionals.
Ligament Reconstruction
Even though ACL reconstruction is the most common surgery, all of the ligaments can be repaired or reconstructed. These can be technically very challenging, so a talented surgeon is paramount to having an excellent outcome!
Unicompartmental (Partial) knee
For arthritis in only one part of the knee, this part of the knee can be replaced and the rest of the knee can be left alone.
robot-Assisted Surgery!
Rather than "eye-balling" the positioning of the components of a knee replacement, the Mako robot allows for accurate and precise placement of the parts! Cutting edge technology!
Cartilage Restroration
There are many types of cartilage restoration surgery and knowing which is best requires a well-trained and thoughtful surgeon. Options include microfracture, osteochondral autograft or allograft transplant, Biocartilage, Cartiform, or MACI to name a few.
Total Knee replacement
This is the gold standard for knee arthritis as the damaged cartilage is replaced with metal and plastic. Outcomes can be excellent in the right hands!
Revision Fracture surgery
If a bone does not heal correctly (malunion or nonunion) and continues to cause pain, then the fixation may need to be revised. These complicated surgeries require a skilled technician!
