M. Tyrrell Burrus, M.D.
Dr. Burrus is a Board-Certified Orthopedic Surgeon specializing in complex knee injuries and reconstructions as well as shoulder reconstructions and replacements. After growing up in southeast Texas, Dr. Burrus attended college at Washington and Lee University where he played varsity soccer. In medical school in Houston, he was voted into the Alpha Omega Alpha Medical Honor Society. During orthopaedic residency at the University of Virginia, he scored in the 100th percentile nationally for his in-training exam and served as Administrative Chief Resident. While at the University of Michigan, he completed a Sports Medicine and Shoulder Surgery fellowship and received additional training in hip arthroscopy.
Due to his excellent training involving high school and Division I athletes, Dr. Burrus is well equipped to handle any knee problem. Within the Austin Knee Institute, the majority of Dr. Burrus's practice involves the care of sports injuries and kneecap instability.

Joshua Fox, M.D.
Dr. Joshua Fox is a Board Certified Orthopedic Surgeon treating patients from in and around Austin, Texas. His areas of expertise are in reconstructive surgery for joints and extremities, joint replacement, and treatments for elbows, shoulders, knees, and hips.
After completing Bachelor’s and a Master’s Degrees in Engineering, Dr. Fox changed track and earned his Medical Degree at the University of Texas Medical School, in San Antonio, TX. He then served his residency at University of Texas Southwest Medical Center, in Dallas. Dr. Fox went on to complete a fellowship in orthopaedic trauma and reconstruction at the University of Texas Southwest Medical Center/Parkland.
Due to his outstanding training and significant experience with primary and revision knee replacements, Dr. Fox is well equipped to handle any knee problem. Within the Austin Knee Institute, the majority of Dr. Fox's practice involves the care of arthritis, painful knee replacements, malunions, and nonunions.
